Kids of parents who like to party in style will be able to host 'bouncy' events, thanks to a new local business. Seitz's Rental and Supply, a bouncy-house rental company started by Shannon Seitz, will be sponsoring a fundraiser for the Sun Country Kids Club on June 23.

"We are coming into the Club's second year of incorporation," said Seitz, who co-founded the Sun Country Kids Club and serves as executive director for SCKC.

Seitz recognized Weyburn's need for a business that could also provide easy fundraising options for local groups - fundraising, of course, with an emphasis on 'fun'.

The Sun Country Kids Club will be celebrating its two year anniversary in jubilant style at the Weyburn Curling Club on June 23 from 12:30 to 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available in advance for $7 at Pharmasave or will be $10 at the door. Each child requires a ticket, which includes unlimited jumping on all six bouncy houses, a hot dog, drink and birthday cake. Admission for adults is free.

"Proceeds will go to Sun Country Kids Club," said Seitz. "We just want to invite everyone out. If they have any questions about the program or if they have missed registration and want to learn more, they can let us know."

This summer, day camps will be available for children city-wide and the program runs out of Grace United Church, as it does on all school holidays. The part-time rate is $100 and full time is $190 per month. Casual rates are also an option.

In the fall, SCKC before and after school programs will be available at Souris School, Haig School, Assiniboia Park Elementary School and St. Michael's School. Seitz noted that the program expansion has allowed for separate age groups to do different activities and that this summer will be filled with activities for their members.

Seitz is hoping that the event on June 23 will provide an opportunity for fun-loving types of all ages to experience the bouncy houses, which should make fundraising that much easier for a number of local non-profit organizations.

"Any non-profit, for fundraising, can get a special rate," said Seitz, noting that their service includes full set-up and take-down of the bouncy houses.

"We do weddings, birthdays, corporate events," she said. "During the winter time, if people are looking for facilities, generally every elementary school rents out their gym and it's a good way to support their school."
