Excitement in the air as city ends centennial celebrations

Children react in exclamations and joy as fireworks explode into the night sky, during a "White Night" for the City of Weyburn on New Year's Eve. These fireworks were special because they also marked the end of the centennial year for the city.

These fireworks were special because they also marked the end of the centennial year for the city. There were a number of centennial events throughout 2013, including the Homecoming weekend in August, and the bell ringing ceremony on Weyburn's actual incorporation as a city on September 13, 2013. The "White Night" celebration included a large bonfire, controlled by the Weyburn Fire Department, and hot dogs and hot chocolate for everyone in attendance.
