Which of YOUR artworks do you plan to enter in the James Weir Peoples' Choice exhibition?

January 2011 marks the 28th Annual James Weir Peoples' Choice Exhibition. This exhibition offers amateur artists from the Â鶹´«Ã½AV East Region the opportunity to display their work in the Allie Griffin Art Gallery in Weyburn.

The Peoples' Choice is one of the most popular art exhibitions and is eagerly anticipated by both artists and viewers alike.

The exhibition will run from January 6 to 31, 2012. Gallery visitors are invited to vote for their favorite pieces. A reception and awards presentation will be held on January 31 at 7:00 p.m. to celebrate the work of the local and regional artists and to acknowledge the artists who received the top number of votes.

Entries will be accepted from artists and craftspeople throughout the Wheatland Souris Region which includes the communities of Weyburn, Stoughton, Radville, Lang, Milestone, Fillmore, Wilcox, Riceton, Cedoux, Corning, Pangman, Trossachs, Griffin, Ceylon, Goodwater, Minton, Lake Alma, Oungre, Yellow Grass, Colgate, Creelman, Forget, Gladmar, Hardy, Heward, Khedive, Hansworth, Kronau, Lajord, Parry, Osage, McTaggart, Ratcliffe, Talmage, Tyvan, Tribune, Beaubier, Bromhead, Bechard, Colfax, Davin, Dummer, Estlin, Froude, Gray, Lewvan, Maxim, Halbrite, Midale, Macoun, Ogema, Benson and Torquay.

Entry forms are available at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery, located at the Weyburn Public Library, 45 Bison Avenue North and at Signal Hill Arts Centre, 424 - 10 Avenue Â鶹´«Ã½AV. Deadline for entries is December 21. Call 848-3922 or e-mail [email protected] and an entry form will be mailed out to you.
