The deadline for applications for this year's Helen Davidson Music Award is April 30. Application forms for this award are available on-line at helendavidsonmusicaward.com/Application.
The award is open to Weyburn and area residents (or former residents who studied in this area), who are involved in the study of music in any of its forms. If you are a solo performer or choir director and wish to continue your music training, please consider applying.
A DVD is required for the application so if you have participated in Music Festivals, now would be an excellent time to record your application. Each year a worthy recipient is awarded $2,000. Past winners since its inception include Meagan Milatz, piano; Chelsea Woodard, voice; Brayden Jensen, saxophone; Britney Alexander, piano; and Mikyla Jensen, flute.
