Communithon Superheroes ready to represent United Way

Haley Anderson, Brooklyn Arts and Natalie Martin will represent the Weyburn and District United Way as their Communithon Superheroes, for this year's 33-hour fundraiser. The United Way will host the Communithon on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24 and 25 in the new Cugnet Centre at the Weyburn Comp. The Communithon Superheroes, board members and other dignitaries will kick off the Communithon during a hot dog barbecue on Friday, Sept. 5, at the Memorial Park located near City Hall from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All hot dogs and drinks will be offered free, with donations accepted during the luncheon. An official program to the kick off will occur at 12 noon. In case of inclement weather, the barbecue will be in the Weyburn Royal Canadian Legion.
