“As business owners, we have the ability to rejuvenate the Weyburn Communithon, and create some excitement around this event,” said Mandi Mazer, owner of Ignite Fitness.
Ignite Fitness created an in-house challenge last year to raise money for the Communithon, and this year Iron Bar Fitness and Olympia In Depth Performance will also be getting involved in a friendly competition to see which gym can raise the most money through a workout dedicated to the Communithon.
In addition to expanding the fitness challenge, Ignite Fitness also wants to challenge other community businesses. “We have so many talented stylists and amazing salons in our community. We are excited to invite all of the salons to showcase their talent with a live on-air competition.”
In the two weeks leading up to the Communithon, some restaurants will be participating in a fundraiser where they will be showcasing a special cocktail or meal special and donating a percentage of each “Communithon” menu item sold.
“We are incredibly excited to have a successful Communithon this year, and showcase all of our amazing local businesses,” added Mazer.
