It's time to bring the outdoor water fun, indoors. The Weyburn Leisure Centre will be opening the Indoor Pool on Monday, September 9.
The Outdoor Pool was closed on September 2, after seeing approximately 20,000 people throughout the summer months.
"We had a pretty good year. It was cooler at the beginning of the summer, but August made up for that with 400 to 500 swimmers in the pool in the afternoons," said Tina Clay, Weyburn Leisure Centre Program coordinator.
Cenovus Energy, Weyburn Rotary Club and Regens Disposal sponsored free swimming for children and youth on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons throughout the summer.
With fall around the corner, maintenance crews are busy readying the indoor pool to open for morning laps at 6:15 on Monday.
