Weyburn artist Rickee-Lee Webster shows off her acrylic painting, "Dog's Best Friend", which is her entry to the 30th annual James Weir People's Choice art competition, which is on display until the end of January, one of some 35 entries in this year's contest. Residents are invited to come and view the art pieces and to cast a vote for their favourite pieces; for Rickee-Lee, this is her second time to enter the competition, and has only been painting for two and a half years. This scene was from a vacation trip out to Bowen Island, off the coast of Vancouver Island, and shows her cousin's friend snoozing with a dog.
