WEYBURN - The Public Works department and essential services, which includes the Weyburn Fire Department and Weyburn Police Service, will combine their efforts to hold an open house on Wednesday, June 22.
The open house will be held in the Public Works yard at 55 16th Street, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., and is free of charge for anyone who wants to attend.
Staff from all of these departments will be on hand, cooking up a barbecue, and will share about how they work to make a difference in the city of Weyburn.
The fleet vehicles for Public Works, the Fire Department and police will all be on display, along with the equipment used in each department as they serve and protect the residents of the city.
A special feature will be the dogs used in the City, including police dog Oakley, who is back from training with her handler; Beaumont, the victim services dog, and Jessi, who has taken up residence in the Fire Hall.
