WEYBURN - The Weyburn and Estevan Rotary Clubs are once again teaming up to put on the fundraiser golf ball drop.
The golf ball drop will be held this year at the Weyburn Golf Club on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m., and three lucky ticket holders will win a cash prize.
The proceeds of the raffle tickets will go toward the STARS air ambulance service and Estevan Minor Ball.
The tickets are numbered, and are matched up with golf balls bearing the same numbers. The golf balls will be placed in to a large bucket and lifted by crane over the hole and dropped, and the first three balls in the hole will win.
First prize will be $5,000, second prize is $3,000 and third prize is $1,000.
Members of both Rotary clubs will be out selling the tickets in stores this summer in advance of the ball drop. Watch for their sales table in outlets like Wal-Mart and the Wholesale Club in the coming weeks.
