WAWOTA - Wawota would like to welcome Lane Quigley and Brett Batycki to Wawota. They hail from Souris, Man.

Diane Purdy from Regina spent a couple of weeks at Christmas visiting with her sisters, Linda Birnie and Sandra Murray and their families, in Wawota.

One of our conservation officers has been transferred to Yorkton. Taylor and Chelsea (Happner) Volke moved to Yorkton earlier this year.

The Assisted Living Committee has reported that they have received a $25,000 from the federal government and have applied for another $125,000 grant. The steering committee is looking for a suitable location for an assisted living building. As with all progressive ideas we have in Wawota, this too will be brought to fruition with the support of all of the community.

A spring Sportsman's Dinner is being planned for Wawota. The Wawota Forum is spearheading this event. If you are interested and can help, contact Rob West at 306-577-1350.
