A few weeks ago, my wife and I went to Kenosee to visit one of our church members. I was given directions to get there. I thought that it could be not that difficult to find where to go in a small town such as Kenosee. Driving slowly on the local road 209 we tried to find Aspen Crescent. After passing the end of the town we had not yet found that road. So I made a U-turn and tried again, but the road, Aspen Crescent was not there. It was almost the appointment time. Still we didn't have any idea how to find it. At that time there were no people on the road. We didn't have a cell phone, so we had to find a phone booth. I became a little bit anxious.
In the middle of the town, a car was slowly driving ahead of us. I followed that car. At the town mail box booth, the car stopped. The driver took his mail out and was about to drive away in his car. I got out of my car and went to him and said, "Excuse me, would you please tell me how to get Aspen Crescent?" He simply said, "Follow me!" I followed his car until reaching Aspen Crescent, the exact place for which we were looking. Actually Aspen Crescent was located in Moose Mountain Park Village, one mile away from the town of Kenosee. We were so thankful to him for guiding us to the right place and we were right on time. Jim was a guardian angel for us that day. Indeed he was a Kenosee angel for us regardless what Jim thought about it.
How could we, people, explain or understand this kind of coincidence? Being at the right place, at the right time, and meeting the right person, fortunately my wife and I had this lucky chance in the town of Kenosee just a few weeks ago. When we were coming back to home we were sure that Jim was a guardian angel for us on that day. Looking back on my past life, there are so many times that I have met the right person at the right place; so many cases of something happening by chance at important moments of my life that have played crucial roles in guiding me into becoming who I am today. Albert Einstein (1879-1955) said, "Coincidence is Divine anonymous." God is still working for the people of the world through this kind of anonymous way, unknown angels.
Angels are everywhere. Where there are people, there are angels. Among such a horrible natural disaster such as Super-storm Sandy in the Eastern Coast of US, we were able to see many angels to help, guide and even save the life of victims of the hurricane. We never know when you or I may do the right thing at the right place and the right time to the right person, and then we may be an angel for that person even though we may never think of it. The Bible said, "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that, some have entertained angels without knowing it" (Hebrews 13:2). Jim, you were our guardian angel for us on that day even though you might think it as only a coincidence. God always works through human beings, like you and me.
