MARYFIELD - The first week in August we have had much going on.

We had our Appreciation barbecue and was it something. First we gathered in the courtyard to listen to Keith and Gary's music for an hour and the smell of hamburgers and hot dogs being prepared for supper.

Inside the tables were filled with buns, salads and soft drinks, and we ended with cake and ice cream. Thank you for the social time. About 40 were in attendance.

We had adults and children come from the Maryfield Mennonite Church to lead us in singing, a message and prayers. If Fred Krukoff is reading this, they asked about you and said they sure missed your voice, as we all do.

Sarah and her two daughters came and gave us another painting class. This time is was a sunrise over the ocean. It is just amazing to see how it ends up. Thank you.

Sarah and girls go to so much work and we have a fun time.

We've been having lots of fresh raspberries, and some of our own beans, onions and tomatoes. We had a gift of some baby carrots and they were so good. Thanks to the people who are so generous to share and think of us.
