Love you like a love song and growing in love

In Selena Gomez's hit "I love you like a love song" the lyrics say, "It's been said and doneEvery beautiful thought's been already sung".When it comes to our relationship with God, perhaps everything has been said and done so many times.

In Selena Gomez's hit "I love you like a love song" the lyrics say,

"It's been said and doneEvery beautiful thought's been already sung".When it comes to our relationship with God, perhaps everything has been said and done so many times. We often lose the dream and beauty of that relationship.

And sometimes we delude ourselves. We pretend that we are still good with God. I'm reminded of the fellow who says, "This is not a beer belly; it's a protective armour I wear over my six-pack."

The great thing about God is how we can bound back into grace and God will save us again. To God we are indeed beautiful, like a dream come alive, incredible (from: "Love you like a Love Song").

Sinners are forgiven! The words of this song echo the thoughts:

You've saved my life again

And it feels like I've been rescuedI've been set free.

I'm always open to a lyrical miracle!

Once in awhile, Right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a fairy tale. (Anonymous)A great king invites his subjects to the wedding feast of his son. They start making excuses and go about their business. So the king invites everyone to be found throughout the land. Jesus invites us to the Kingdom through this parable (Matthew 22:1-14). It is so simple.

Even of those who are faithful enough to attend, we find some unworthy; some who have not the required wedding garment. What is this garment that we need to get into the kingdom?

In the many gospel references we find that we are to put on Christ; to be clothed in humility and compassion (Colossians 3:9-13). We are to put on the breastplate of faith and love (Thessalonians 5:8).

It is all about love! The life and love we create is the life and love we live (Leo Buscaglia). And we can start with those nearest and dearest to us.

Smile at each other, smile at your wife, smile at your husband, smile at your children, smile at each other-it doesn't matter who it is- and that will help you to grow up in greater love for each other (Mother Teresa).
