ESTEVAN - A grand opening was held for Estevan's new pathway program on Friday afternoon.

Representatives from the City of Estevan and the Government of Saskatchewan gathered for the ribbon cutting on a pathway at Estevan's west entrance.

The provincial and federal governments announced support for the pathway project earlier this year. A sod-turning celebration was held in July and after that, construction occurred on pathways and sidewalks throughout Estevan, creating an integrated system.

The pathways have been well used as well, as people have been eager to get out and exercise.
