The bronze statue of T.C. Douglas stands in silhouette at sunset on Sept. 19, along with the wheat sheaves that stand alongside the Riverfront Boardwalk. The Douglas statue, created by sculptor Lea Vivot and gifted to the City of Weyburn, was unveiled in a public ceremony held on Sept. 10. The sheaves of wheat and the figure of Tommy Douglas are iconic symbols of the city.
