The haunted house is a popular annual event in Alida.

ALIDA - Shelly Cowan, daughter Ainsley and her friends Tammy and Amy attended the Sask. Expo Regina event on Sept. 23. While there they also visited with Lacie Nilsen and Jesse Fuchs, returning home the next day.

The Alida Haunted House & Escape Rooms dates have now been set for Oct. 20 and 21 and Oct. 26 and 27, as well as on the 28th with a fun fair. This is our 26th year so come out and enjoy these experiences.

The floor plans are all laid  out, framed and enclosed in. All the spooks, ghosts and goblins will be arriving soon to take up their space in this new area. It’s really getting exciting now.

Linda and Don Akins spent their holidays visiting members of their family.

They travelled to Cranbrook, B.C., to visit with daughter Melissa and enjoyed some sightseeing. They then went on to Cochrane, Alta., to visit with son Ryan and while there, enjoyed supper with their nephew Dean and Deb Mohrbutter (who are from Calgary).

They then stopped in Swift Current and had lunch with Linda’s brother Paul and Elaine Rogg. Their next stop was in Regina, where they had supper with granddaughter Karly and her friend Jarius before returning home. A great holiday time was surely had.

Farming has moved right along and the harvesting has come to an end for us. As for the rest, be safe the end is near.
