ESTEVAN — The Estevan Police Service made several arrests last Friday.
EPS members attended to a hotel in the downtown area and located a man wanted on warrants from the EPS. While police were arresting him, they found methamphetamine and a large machete on his person.
The man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, breach of probation, and carrying a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public. No further information was immediately available.
The same day, EPS members located and arrested a 36-year-old man for theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property on warrants from the Moose Jaw Police Service.
Police also arrested a 35-year-old man during a conditions check for breaching his conditional sentence order when he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, ammunition and two long-bladed knives.
The EPS received a report of a possibly intoxicated man walking in the north part of the city. Members located him. He was not intoxicated but was struggling to walk in the deep snow.
That same day, a local business reported an act of vandalism involving spray paint graffiti on the building. The matter is under investigation.
Police also received a report of youth driving erratically in the parking lot of a business on the northeast end of the city. Members attended, spoke with a group of youths in the parking lot and warned them about the complaint.
