SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - A special air quality statement was in effect for southeast Saskatchewan.
According to the advisory, issued just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening, smoke was causing or expected to cause poor air quality and reduced visibility. The advisory included the Estevan, Weyburn, Carlyle, Regina, Moose Jaw and Moosomin areas, among others, and it extended to much of the province.
Environment Canada said a trough of low pressure was concentrating wildfire smoke and would be moving south and east throughout Sunday night. Smoke was expected to slowly disperse throughout Monday, improving conditions by Monday night.
