ESTEVAN - The March 24 meeting of Estevan city council had an energetic opening.
Members of the Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs' cheer team were recognized for winning the scholastic cheer – senior intermediate division at the recent provincial tournament. They performed a cheer for council members and others in attendance. Council then gathered for a group photo with the athletes.
It was the second time the cheer team was at council this year. They were previously recognized for their first-place finish at the Best of the West competition in February.
