Man wanted in 2023 break and enter arrested in Stoughton

RCMP arrest man wanted after a break and enter at a gas plant near Kisbey that occurred in November 2023.

STOUGHTON — Carlyle RCMP has arrested a man wanted in connection with a break and enter that occurred in November 2023.

On Feb. 24, at approximately 11 a.m., a Saskatchewan RCMP officer with Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan located and arrested Trent Raynard in Stoughton.

Raynard was wanted by Carlyle RCMP in relation to the break and enter. He appeared in Weyburn Provincial Court on Feb. 25. No further details were immediately available. 

Background: 

In late November 2023, Carlyle RCMP responded to a reported break and enter that occurred at a gas plant near Kisbey. The crime was believed to have occurred between Nov. 24 and Nov. 26, during which various items were stolen.

Carlyle RCMP launched an investigation with assistance from Yorkton RCMP Forensic Identification Services. As part of the probe, officers executed a search warrant at a property near Arcola, where they recovered several stolen items, including a camper trailer, tools and electronics.

Following the investigation, Carlyle RCMP charged then 25-year-old Brianna Paul and then 32-year-old Trent Raynard, both of Stoughton, with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, theft under $5,000 and mischief under $5,000.

Paul was arrested on Dec. 14, 2023. 

A warrant was issued for Raynard’s arrest, and Carlyle RCMP worked to locate him.
