​​​​​​​ESTEVAN — Police were patrolling the Party in the Park at Woodlawn on Aug. 4 and conducted a traffic stop with a golf cart.
The 26-year-old female driver from Lampman was found to be impaired. She was arrested and transported to the police station where she provided samples of breath. She was released with charges of impaired driving and will appear in court in October.
Police also attended to a report of one of the railway crossing arms being damaged by a semi truck at the bypass railway crossing.
Police received a report of suspicious activity in the 800 block of Edward Street. That matter is under investigation.
Police received a report of a hit and run in the 1000 block of Valley Street. The victim’s vehicle was parked when he heard a loud noise and saw the offending vehicle drive away. That matter is under investigation.
Members attended to a report of a woman asking for money while outside a local business. She was advised of the bylaw and sent on her way.
Police received a report of a suspicious person in the Hillside area. Members attended and the registered owner was having difficulty opening the door on his truck.
Police were called to the water treatment plant for a report of three youths trying to open doors on the building. Members located the youth and warned them of their actions.
Police were called to a residence for a report of a man breaching his conditions of no contact. Charges are pending.
EPS attended to 82 occurrences from Aug. 2-5, including multiple fraud complaints, suspicious persons, theft of fuel, criminal harassment, hit and run vehicle collisions, and several driving complaints.
A 19-year-old female was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and drive over .08 after a traffic stop in the 500 block of Second Street. She was lodged in cells until sober, her driver’s license suspended indefinitely, and her vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
Officers attended to a break and enter to a local business on the morning of Aug. 4 in the industrial area of the city. The matter is still under investigation.
