WEYBURN — The community of Carlyle has indicated through their town council that they are prepared to add a total of $4.2 million in enhancements to the proposed new public school to be located there. It was addressed during the Â鶹´«Ã½AV East Cornerstone Public School Division’s public meeting on Dec. 18.

The new school is currently in the planning stages and will soon be entering into a design mode, so the enhancement package will be included in the overall design and eventual construction of the new facility.

During the course of the meeting recently re-elected chairwoman Audrey Trombley took a leave of absence for the duration of the meeting from the chair position to enable her to attend to other obligations and the chair position was then assumed by vice-chairwoman Megan Schick, a Weyburn City representative who was voted into that position by her fellow board members at the division’s re-organizational meeting that was held on Nov. 20.

The public session is live-streamed by the division.
