May 29, 1930 – June 14,2016

Peter Yoner passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Estevan, SK at the age of 86 years.

Peter’s memory will be forever cherished by his loving companion, Arlette; son, Henry(Patricia)    Edmonton, AB; granddaughter Kendra(Spencer)Halluk and great granddaughter, Bryn Halluk Calgary, AB; brothers, Andrew(Helen) Lloydminster, SK; Vince(Lynda) Pitt Meadows, BC; and Nick(Eva) Regina, SK; sister, Carrie Leptich, Estevan, SK; mother-in-law, Dorothea Sabin Estevan, SK; brother-in-law, Randy(Vi) Sabin Estevan, SK; sisters-in-law, Marlyne(Wayne)Dolinsky Brandon, MB; Marilyn(Bill)Herschmiller Vegreville, AB and Annette(Bill)Isely Nipawin, SK; numerous nieces , nephews and cousins.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Anne Marie; his wife Helen(1996); grandson, Troy(2005); his brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman(Amelia), John, Matt(Eva, Madeline) and Steve(Dorothy); sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara Yoner, Cecilia Briltz(Tony, George Alexander) and Mike Leptich; nephew, Michael Yoner and niece, Annabelle Haakonson.

A prayer service was held on June 16 at 7:00pm in the Chapel of Hall ‘s Funeral Services , Estevan with Doug Third officiating.  Funeral Mass was held on June 17 at 10:00pm at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church with Rev Brian Meredith officiating.  Interment took place at Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan, SK. A lunch reception was held at the church following the service.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall’s Funeral Services, Estevan.

A special THANK YOU to:  the nursing staff in the Renal Unit and also Unit A for the compassionate care given to Peter and family, Doug Third for the lovely prayer service, Rev. Brian Meredith for the outstanding funeral service, the pallbearers, the organist and choir and St. John’s Auxiliary for the lunch.  We are also grateful to Hall’s Funeral Services who professionally and lovingly cared for all the arrangements at this difficult time.
