It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Loretta Beatrice Fichter of Estevan, SK on Sunday June 19, 2016 at the age of 84 years.
Loretta leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband of 59 years, Jacob Fichter as well as their children, Greg Fichter, Randy (Lori) Fichter, Joan (Rob) Matchett, Dwight (Donita) Fichter, Dan (Kelly Smith) Fichter and daughter-in-law Lora Fichter. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren, Ronald Fichter, Carissa (Brenden) Myers, Steven Fichter, Matthew Fichter, Joshua Fichter, Caitlin Matchett, Riley Matchett, Deirdre (Darren) Franks, Dane Fichter, Colin Smith, Chloe Fichter and Evan Fichter; great-grandchildren Smith Myers, Georgia Myers, Maryn Franks and Samuel Franks.
Loretta also leaves behind her sister Yvonne (Fred) de Both; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Marlene) Lisafeld, Robert Fichter and Raymond (Ute) Fichter and sisters-in-law, Rose Seale and Genevieve Fichter, as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Loretta was predeceased by her parents, Emmanuel and Alice Tessier; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rochus and Thressa Fichter; son Tim Fichter; daughter-in-law Janet Fichter; sister Evelyn Lisafeld; brother Richard Tessier; nephew Ricky Tessier; niece Wendy Robertson; brothers-in-law, Joseph Fichter and John Seale and sisters-in-law, Sharon Fichter and Katherine (John) Scraper.
A Prayer Service was held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Doug Third officiating. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Estevan, with Rev. Brian Meredith presiding. Interment followed at Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan, after which a luncheon took place in the church auditorium.
