ÌýÌý Katherine Avery (Maxwell),
late of Weyburn, SK passed
away peacefully in Regina, with
her family at her side on Satur-
day, August 8, 2015 at the age
of 59.

ÌýÌý Kathy is survived by her son,
Brad (Shelley) and her grand-
children, Charlotte and Gabriel.
Also left to cherish her memory
are her sister, Penny (Bill) Arm-
strong; sisters in law, Grace
(Joe) Kuntz, Doreen Cunning-
ham, Marilyn (Don) Bzdell;
brothers in law, Les (Betty)
Avery, Cec (Joyce) Avery, Gor-
don(Donna) Avery, Barry (Vanda) Avery and Bill Ruckaber as
well as many nieces and nephews.

ÌýÌý She was predeceased by her husband, Calvin; son, Curtis;
parents, Thomas and Elda Maxwell; sister, Judy Ruckaber;
mother and father in law, Cyril and Elsie; sister in law, Norma
Avery; brothers in law, Grant Avery and Leland Cunningham
and great nephew, Hudson Avery.

ÌýÌý Kathy met the love of her life Calvin when she was 15. Togeth-
er they had 2 children, Brad and Curtis. Kathy was a talented
seamstress and sewed Halloween costumes for the boys every
year. She loved the outdoors and always took great pride in her
yard. Summer’s with the Avery’s were spent camping and fish-
ing. Later in life, she enjoyed motorcycle trips with Calvin.

ÌýÌý She was overjoyed with the birth of her 2 grandchildren, Char-
lotte and Gabe, and loved to spoil them with gifts. Kathy had dif-
ficulty coping with the loss of her son Curtis in 2011 and hus-
band Calvin in 2013, and soon her health began to decline. We
would like to thank her close friends who supported her during
these last difficult years.

ÌýÌý A Celebration of Kathy’s Life will be held at a later date.
