Hilda K. Eagles 1928 - 2016 Hilda Kristine of Estevan, Sask. passed away at St. Joseph鈥檚 Hospital on June 8th, 2016 at the age of 87 years. She was the oldest child of Hallick and Ida Kittelson born in Estevan on December 1, 1928.

She was the oldest child of Hallick and Ida Kittelson born in Estevan on December 1, 1928. She was raised on the family farm by Macoun and attended school there to Grade 10.聽
She met Rea Eagles Sr. at the community picnic in 1944 when she stole his comb. They were married at the Macoun Lutheran Church on November 5, 1947. The school shut down for an hour so students could watch the wedding party coming and going.聽
They moved onto the Kittelson family farm and Hilda remained there until 1999 when she moved into the Trinity Towers in Estevan. Hilda was very involved with the church, being the organist for 25 years until the church closed its doors.聽
Hilda is survived by six of her seven children: Rea (Marlene) Eagles; Roger (Brenda) Eagles; Mervin Eagles; Penny Tochor (Lyman Sargent); Scott Eagles; Kevin (Kelley) Eagles. Hilda is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Rea鈥檚 children 鈥� Carmella and her son Sebastian and Sebastian鈥檚 father, Courtney Mack; Carey (Jackie) along with their children Ty, Rex and Zoe; Laverne鈥檚 children - Sonya (Kevin) Dill and their children Clare and Owen; Randi Jo (Jake) Torgrimson and their children Bree and Miles; and Jonathan (Judy); Roger鈥檚 daughters - Christina and her daughter Justice; and Rosanda; Mervin鈥檚 sons - Kelly and his children Luke and Alexis; and Chad and his son Tao; Penny鈥檚 children - Colton (Amy Moore) Tochor their daughters Eden and Emry; Lee Tochor; and Keyla Tochor; Kevin鈥檚 son - Kody (Monica Lainton).聽
Hilda left to be remembered by her sister, Amy Taylor, sisters-in-law, Betty Eagles and Dora Eagles, brother-in-law, Cameron Hart, and special niece, Sharon Eagles along with many nieces and nephews.聽
Hilda was predeceased by her husband, Rea in 1998, her son, Laverne in 2012 and her granddaughter, Katelin in 2009. She was also predeceased by her brother, Roy Kittelson, sisters Minnie Kittelson, Helen Hart and Elsa (Andreas) Brakstad and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Trisha Eagles, Cecil (Vi) Eagles, Eileen 鈥淧eg鈥� (Phil) Reider, Willard Eagles, Avory (Marion) Eagles, Willa (Abe) Friesen, Jules Helman, and William Eagles.聽
The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan from 6:00 p.m. 鈥� 8:00 p.m. The Time of Remembrance Service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Estevan with Pastor Stewart officiating. Lunch will be held immediately following the service and interment will take place at Macoun Cemetery, Macoun, SK.
