CARNDUFF - The RM of Mount Pleasant has shown its support for an important campaign in the southeast.

During a meeting last May, RM of Mount Pleasant council members discussed a letter they had received from the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation regarding the purchase and installation of an MRI.

The decision was made to donate $50,000, as the MRI would be of great benefit to the municipality’s ratepayer. Accessing one in Estevan is preferable to travelling to Regina.

At the time, the council informed their ratepayers of this decision via a newsletter.

Lori Gervais, the executive director of the foundation, recently visited the RM office to meet with the councillors and expressed her gratitude on behalf of the foundation.

The campaign has raised nearly $5.3 million of its $6.5 million goal.
