SASKATOON - Average retail gasoline prices in Saskatoon are 134.37 c/L, down 0.8 c/L from last week's 135.13 c/L, according to GasBuddy's daily survey.
In comparison, average retail gasoline prices in Regina fell 3.4 c/L in the past week, averaging 134.60 c/L yesterday.
"Canada’s national average for gasoline saw a slight increase over the last week, entirely driven by a significant jump in prices across Ontario," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
"Most all other provinces saw declines, but Ontario’s sharp rise was enough to push the national average higher. With oil prices rallying in the past week, we may see pressure build on pump prices in more regions soon. Still, 2025 has so far delivered some of the lowest gas prices since the pandemic for most Canadians, thanks to the carbon tax pause, as well as OPEC's ongoing restoration of oil production and continued uncertainty around global tariffs and their economic impact."
The national average has decreased 19.1 c/L during the last month and stands 38.4 c/L lower than this day one year ago. In the last week, the national average has increased 1.0 c/L to 132.65 c/L, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
