REGINA — The City of Regina has improved its ranking in the 2024 Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) national benchmarking study, from fifth to fourth place among 23 municipalities across Canada.

Regina maintained a third place ranking in Planning Timelines, showcasing some of the fastest turnaround times in the country.

Despite a slight drop in the Planning Features ranking, recent website improvements, including an online department contact list and improved linking throughout the site, are expected to positively impact future assessments. Plans are in place to enable online submission and payment for some planning applications by the end of 2025.
