REGINA - A guilty verdict has been arrived at in the trial of a former education assistant at Vibank Regional School, charged with sexual exploitation.
The jury trial for 40-year-old Stacey Duke, of the R.M. of Francis, was held last week in Regina Court of King’s Bench, and on Wednesday, she was convicted on the six charges she faced, including two counts apiece of sexual exploitation of a young person, making sexually explicit material available to a child, and child luring.
Sentencing arguments are scheduled for May 5 in Regina Court of King’s Bench.
In October of 2022, Indian Head RCMP received a report of inappropriate online communication between an adult female and a male student within the division, and a second alleged male victim within the division was identified by police during the course of the investigation.
