Could an unclaimed $250K Lotto 6/49 prize be yours?

SASKATOON — Sask Lotteries says Lotto 6/49 players should check any old tickets and dig around in the pockets of last year’s spring jacket to make sure they’re not holding onto a windfall.

An unclaimed prize from the Extra added to a Lotto 6/49 for the March 12, 2022, draw is set to expire in just a few days. The ticket was sold in Regina and matched seven of the seven winning Extra numbers for that draw — 6817958 — and is worth a $250,000 prize.

The winner or winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim the prize; meaning this winning ticket will expire on Sunday, March 12.

Two other large prizes remain unclaimed in Saskatchewan

Another $250,000 prize from the Extra added to a Lotto 6/49 ticket for the July 2 draw also hasn’t yet been claimed. That ticket was sold in Saskatchewan outside of Regina and Saskatoon, and the Extra matched seven of the seven winning numbers for that draw — 2196688.

There’s also a bigger windfall from the autumn that no winner has stepped forward to claim yet. A $1 million Maxmillions from the Oct. 21 Lotto Max draw is still outstanding. That ticket was also sold in somewhere in Saskatchewan outside of Regina and Saskatoon and the numbers exactly match those of one of the draw’s Maxmillions prizes — 8, 9, 29, 32, 35, 37 and 43.

Unclaimed prizes on national games are returned to players through guaranteed Jackpots, and Bonus draws. Unclaimed prizes on regional games are returned to the member provinces and territories as revenue.
