New hosts, veteran cast announced for TeleMiracle 47

SASKATOON - TeleMiracle – Saskatchewan’s Charity –  announced the details of TeleMiracle 47. This annual Saskatchewan tradition will return with a 20-hour telethon on Feb. 25-26, 2023, broadcast live across Saskatchewan on the CTV network from Prairieland Park in Saskatoon and live-streamed at telemiracle.com.

“TeleMiracle has been rooted in Saskatchewan for 47 years”, says volunteer TeleMiracle 47 Chair Scott Lamb. “We are proud to carry on this tradition that helps so many people all across this province, year after year.”

Highlights of TeleMiracle 47

- On Feb. 25-26, 2023, “Ring Those Phones” or donate at telemiracle.com during the 20-hour telethon on CTV

- National Cast veterans return, joined by an all-Saskatchewan line-up of new hosts

- Watch for special musical guests and appearances

- TeleMiracle proceeds stay in Saskatchewan to fund the work of the Kinsmen Foundation – Helping People Every Day

TeleMiracle 47 will continue to showcase talented Saskatchewan performers from every corner of the province. The telethon will also feature personal stories of the families and people who have received assistance through the donations of generous TeleMiracle donors.

Entering its 47th annual telethon, TeleMiracle has raised well over $150 million for the people of Saskatchewan. Donors can still “Ring Those Phones” and call in their pledge during the telethon broadcast or donate online year-round at www.telemiracle.com.

The TeleMiracle 47 National Cast includes veteran hosts Beverley Mahood, Brad Johner, Jeffery Straker, Jess Moskaluke, and Jill Straker. New cast members this year all hail from Saskatchewan:

• Jake Vaadeland – multi-instrumentalist and songwriter

• Lisa Franks – Canadian paralympic athlete

• Michael Linklater – professional 3X3 basketball star and proud Nehiyaw (Cree)

• Also joining the National Cast is Alex Brown of CTV Saskatoon Morning Live

The excitement begins on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 6:15 p.m. with “Countdown to TeleMiracle” that is live-streamed at www.telemiracle.com. The live broadcast begins at 9 p.m. across the CTV Saskatchewan network (and at www.telemiracle.com) concluding on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 5 p.m.with the reveal of the final telethon total.

Even though the telethon is a few months away, Chair Lamb says the need for TeleMiracle donations is seen daily.

“TeleMiracle donations stay right here in Saskatchewan and are truly helping people every day to improve their independence and quality of life,” Lamb states. “Those donations are helping your neighbours, friends and your community.

TeleMiracle is entering its 47th year in 2023. Through the proceeds of this annual telethon, the Kinsmen Foundation is Helping People Every Day in Saskatchewan, to improve their independence and quality of life.  The Foundation provides specialized mobility and medical equipment to people and organizations throughout the province, as well as travel assistance for residents in need of vital medical treatment outside their home community.
