Kinsmen Foundation Releases Statement on Telemiracle Theft

Incident took place at a Rush lacrosse game Saturday

The Kinsmen Foundation has released a statement following a theft involving funds that were raised at a Saskatchewan Rush lacrosse game in support of Telemiracle 43:

"On Saturday, March 2nd an incident occurred at the Saskatchewan Rush game during a fundraising event for Telemiracle 43 called "Pass the Bucket".  A person in attendance at the game was alleged to have taken a collection bucket from a table and made off with a small amount of cash.  An image of this individual was subsequently posted on social media.

On Sunday, March 3rd a female identified herself to the Saskatoon Police Service as the person in question.  She has subsequently reached out to the Kinsmen Foundation office, offered a sincere apology and made a donation to Telemiracle to replace the funds in question.  The Kinsmen Foundation has accepted her apology and decided not to pursue criminal charges.

As this matter is now concluded, the Kinsmen Foundation will have no further comments about this incident."
