Update: Most extreme cold warnings ended

Weekend temperatures will move much closer to 0 for most areas.

SASKATCHEWAN — Most of Environment Canada's extreme cold weather warnings for Saskatchewan have been ended. Only the  and  areas in the far north are still under an extreme cold warning.

Most areas of Saskatchewan have been experiencing a prolonged period of very cold wind chills with overnight lows near -30 degrees or colder, combining with light winds to produce dangerous wind chill values of -40 or lower. Weekend temperatures will move much closer to 0 for most areas.
