Check with the Highway Hotline to see if your area is affected by poor visibility due to snow squalls or high winds and snow.

SASKATCHEWAN - Saskatchewan RCMP advises the public that winter weather is impacting road conditions in several parts of the province.

Officers have received multiple reports of rollovers on Highway 11 in the Davidson area. Traffic is moving very slowly and motorists should expect delays.

Also, they have received reports of whiteouts in the Melville area, which are affecting visibility and road conditions.

Before travelling, check the weather and road conditions along your route. If poor weather or road conditions exist or are forecasted, consider delaying travel if possible. If travel is necessary, say RCMP, stay on roads that have recently received road maintenance. Travellers can access information on road conditions and track which roads have been plowed, salted, and/or sanded within the last two hours at  (English only).

Meanwhile, Environment Canada has issued snow squall warnings for some areas, saying periods of brief but intense snowfall are expected. Visibilities will be rapidly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow, causing brief whiteout conditions. They should move out of the region by afternoon.

A blowing snow advisory for the central and southern areas of the west side of the province has also been issued by Environment Canada. Strong winds and poor visibility in blowing snow will lead to hazardous travel conditions today. Falling snow and strong winds gusting up to 90 km/h will result in poor visibility due to blowing snow. Conditions will improve early this evening. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility.
