The family of Richard Joseph Zagozeski is saddened to announce his passing on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, after a brief illness.  

He was predeceased by his mother, Kay McGeough; and brother, Brady Zagozeski. Richard will be forever loved and remembered by his parents, Joe and June Zagozeski; sister, Cheryl Zagozeski and her husband Alan Laughlin (Caitlin Laughlin and Sydney Laughlin). He was part of a large, affectionate, blended family and will be forever missed by his sister, Joan (Gord) Flaman; brother, Wes (Debbie) Petrisor; brother, Pat Petrisor; sister, Lynn (Clint) Bergland; brother, Walter (Connie) Petrisor; sister, Jody (Ira) Faris; sister, Vicki (Tim) Herbst; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his close friends, Ken and Brenda Czaja.  

Richard spent most of his life in the Pense, SK area farming and raising cattle with his father Joe on the family farm. He worked for several years in security at Mosaic in Belle Plaine, SK. In later years Richard retired and moved to Moose Jaw, SK.  

Richard was a gentle giant who was happiest in the peace and quiet of the country. He was a voracious reader and had a large collection of books and movies. He enjoyed visiting with friends and chatting with Ken every day.  

A Private Graveside Service will be held on March 8th, 2025, at Rosedale Cemetery in Moose Jaw, SK. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Richard’s name may be made to STARS Air Ambulance, 2640 Airport Road, Regina, SK S4W 1A3.
