Alean Florence Wirth (née: Ward) age 83 years of Moose Jaw and formerly of Melville, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Dorothy Ward; her loving husband, Ervin; daughter, Susan; grandson-in-law, Will; and seven of her siblings. Alean will be sadly missed by her children: Glenn (Kathy), Debbie (Daryl), and Carol (Chuck); an abundance of adoring grandchildren: Amanda (Jake), Beckie (Mike), Jeremy (Jen), Danielle (Kelly), Michelle, Kristen (Jeff), Melanie, Kim (Justin), Marcus (Megan), Nick (Melissa), and Jessica (Dillon); great-grandchildren: Olivia, Katie, Zoe, Tyson, Jada, Abigail, Kohen, Sydnee, Jacob, Kaleb, Julia, Griffin, Tony, Lucas, Kaylee, Bennett, Elsie, Reggie, Gemma, Jennings, and Jagger; sister, Lillian; sisters-in-law: Jean, Connie, and Shirley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Alean was born on March 7th, 1941, in Melville, SK. She resided on the family farm Â鶹´«Ã½AV of Duff until she married Ervin in 1958 and moved to Melville. After raising their four children and working numerous jobs, they opened a very successful fabric business. Upon retirement in 1989, they moved to Moose Jaw to be close to family. Alean loved sewing, crafting, gardening, canning, and a good game of cards. Her passion however was cooking and baking for family gatherings. 

Ervin and Alean also enjoyed their winters with close friends in Yuma, Arizona. They also created many cherished memories with their family during the summers at their Long Lake cottage. 

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Guardian Grove, Providence Place, and Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital. 

The Funeral Service to honour Alean’s life will be held on Friday, March 14th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Shepherd officiating. Those not able to attend may view the service by going to . Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Alean’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan, 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
