Tammy Pasiechnik

It is with profound sadness that the family of Tammy Pasiechnik, daughter of Darcy and Sandra Pasiechnik, announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. She was 35 years old.

Tammy Arlene Pasiechnik was born on January 20, 1989, at the Preeceville Hospital; the second daughter to Darcy and Sandra (Michaluk) Pasiechnik. She attended Endeavour School from grades K-8 and then Preeceville School for grades 9-12. She graduated in 2007.

Tammy was very active throughout high school, playing badminton, basketball, volleyball and curling. She also received various awards for these and other activities. Tammy loved figure skating and received figure skating awards and then became a figure skating instructor.

After completing high school, Tammy went on to complete her cosmetology courses, but did not pursue employment in hairdressing. Over the years Tammy has stayed busy working doing numerous jobs. There are too many to list. She loved the idea of trying new things and was fearless when it came to trying something different. She felt that the more things she tried, the more likely it would be that she would find her calling. She has done everything; from accounting and business administration, to cooking and taking college courses.

Through her many pursuits, Tammy found that what she loved most were jobs related to health and wellness. She strongly believed and advocated for living naturally and that the body can heal itself when it is given a healthy environment to thrive in. Tammy had talked about creating natural food cookbooks and helping others to heal their bodies. Tammy believed in the bodies ability to heal itself after she travelled her own journey of healing from an autoimmune disorder.

In 2020 Tammy reconnected with a friend from her past, Kyle Steininger. Kyle and Tammy became inseparable. They worked together and took on many projects, including roofing and renovating. Tammy was always up for new challenges and kept Kyle on track, taking care of the many things that are needed to keep a household running, as well as being Kyle’s companion, co-worker and business partner.

Tammy loved to read and learn new things and loved to be busy. She enjoyed being physically active, cooking, exercising and taking care of herself. She loved going for walks to help her clear her head and loved being outside in nature.

Tammy will be remembered for her fun-loving attitude, the twinkle in her eye and the way she cared for those around her. She was always thinking of others and was focused on their needs. She will forever be loved and remembered by her parents, Darcy and Sandra Pasiechnik; sister, Ammie Pasiechnik; grandpa, John Pasiechnik; partner, Kyle Steininger as well as many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents, John and Ledona (Karcha) Michaluk, and Claudia (Hovey) Pasiechnik.

The Funeral Service was held Thursday, December 5, 2024, from the Chapel of Preeceville Funeral Home with Rev. Luanne Hrywkiw of Holy Trinity Anglican Church officiating. Debbie Blender played piano for the hymns “Amazing Grace”, “Shall We Gather at the River” and “Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross”. Tana Campbell shared special memories of Tammy and Brad Steppan read scripture. Interment followed at the Preeceville Community Cemetery with Rory Pasiechnik, Perry Pasiechnik, Trent Antoniuk, Callan Pasiechnik, Nick Pasiechnik and Brenden Pasiechnik serving as the casketbearers.
