UNITY - A smoky, but warm fall day, Oct. 4, the Unity Jr. Warriors played host to the league championship final against the Macklin Hawks.
A 44-32 victory for the Jr. Warriors earned them back-to-back league championships, with the last one won in 2019 as there was no season in 2020.
Coach Daikota Tanner says, “Our season was a really good one. We had one heck of a team this year. The final game was a tough one. Macklin put up a good challenge for our guys. We had some big plays from a few of our core kids which sealed the win for us.”
The Jr. Warriors finished their season undefeated with a 5 and 0 record.
While Tanner offers thanks to the community for the continued support of this program, others pass on their accolades to him as Tanner does not have a child in this program. He has also been a dedicated part of Unity Minor Football for a number of years.
This UMF junior program is a great stepping stone for players entering high school and wanting to participate in the senior high Warriors football program.
