Mayoral Candidates
David Ziegler
Hello, my name is David Ziegler. I was born and raised and retired in Wilkie. My wife of 46 years and I have raised our five children here and have been involved in sports and throughout the community. Being involved in the community means doing a lot of volunteering to help.
As a proven manager and municipal leader, I am asking for your support for Mayor of Wilkie in the Nov. 13 municipal election. There are many moving parts to ensure that elected officials work together to help benefit their community. Council administration will continue to work towards new economic and business developments.
I believe in this community and would be proud to have the opportunity to continue as mayor and will do my best for the citizens of this great town. I believe working together we can achieve so much and make Wilkie a better place to live, work, and play.

Councillor Candidates
Les Henderson
My name is Les Henderson, and I’m running for re-election to the Wilkie Town Council. Having lived here for 16 years with my wife, Laurie, I’ve seen our community flourish as we raised our three children, all of whom graduated from Wilkie schools. Currently, I work for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways, where I gain valuable experience in infrastructure and safety.
Over the past four years on the council, I’ve focused on keeping Wilkie safe, fostering growth, and strengthening our community ties. I believe that improving our streets and services is essential for enhancing our quality of life. It’s been a privilege to serve, and I hope to continue this important work.
Together, we can build a safer, more vibrant Wilkie for all residents. I look forward to your support as we strive to create a brighter future for our town.
Clarke Jackson
My name is Clark Jackson, and I was first elected to Town Council in 2017. Over those few years I have served on many boards and committees, including the Wilkie and District Museum Board, Wilkie Library Board, and the Wilkie Housing Authority Board. I have been the Chairman of the Finance/ Administration Committee, Water and Sewer Committee, and present Chairman of Wilkie Health Committee, and I am the Town Representative for Regional Co-operations Board. I’m also a rep to the Wilkie Housing Authority Board.
Over the years I’ve been fortunate to be involved in various projects such as the sewer and water and storm sewer projects, solar panels on our Arena, upgrades to the Water Treatment Plant and the Wastewater Lagoon projects.
I believe our public meetings are very important for public relations. I believe volunteerism makes our community thrive.
Nadine La Greca
I’m Nadine La Greca, and I’m excited to run for Wilkie Town Council. I grew up on a horse ranch near Denholm, and my roots are deeply tied to Saskatchewan. Four years ago, I fell in love with a heritage house in Wilkie and moved here to restore it. Since then, I’ve been drawn to Wilkie’s beautiful trees, historic buildings and strong sense of community.
Working at CIBC in Wilkie, I’ve had the privilege of meeting many residents and learning about their visions for our town. My goals include increasing communication between citizens and council, introducing anonymous polling to gather input on key decisions, and fostering growth in business and real estate. With experience in construction, real estate development, and a degree in Advanced Business Management, I’m committed to helping Wilkie thrive.
I believe Wilkie can continue to grow and prosper for future generations.

He also worked for the Wilkie Housing authority as property manager and maintenance, assisting seniors and families with their housing needs.
Gary hopes to be a positive addition as a council member for Wilkie, as a representative of the people of the community he calls home.
Theresa Parkinson
I was born and raised in Ontario and now proudly call Wilkie my home. Growing up with cattle and horses, I developed a strong connection to rural life, cherishing memories of riding my horse, Lightning. Over the years, my passion shifted to law, where I dedicated over 40 years before retiring. As a mother of three daughters and grandmother to three, my commitment to community and agriculture has always been central to my life.
Since January, I’ve attended many monthly town meetings to better understand the challenges facing our town. This experience has inspired me to run for a seat, where I aim to bring fresh ideas and uphold fiscal responsibility. I am committed to advocating for Wilkie’s residents with transparency and accountability. With my legal background and deep-rooted rural values, I believe I can help shape a brighter future for our community.
Jerel Wood
My name is Jerel Wood, I moved to Wilkie in 2014 and bought a home the following year. In 2022, my sister and I started a business partnership purchasing the Wilkie Reddi Mart. Also, in 2022 I put my name in and got a seat on town council.
Being part of the Town Council has allowed me to learn about Wilkie and what the people in the community seek. If re-elected I want to see growth and innovative ideas for the young growing families in Wilkie. They are the future.
