RCMP seek public's help in identifying driver after theft and failure to stop for police

Four traffic complaints and four false alarms added to twelve other calls that are part of weekly RCMP report for period of Aug. 22-28

UNITY — The Unity RCMP would like the public's help in identifying the driver in the attached picture who stole gas and then failed to stop for police on Aug. 23.

Persons with information on the identity of this driver are asked to contact the Unity RCMP at 306-228-6300 or call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit a tip online.

Unity Report

RCMP received a report of a stolen truck, but it was unfounded.

Members received a request to keep the peace while an individual attended a rural residence to retrieve personal property.

RCMP attempted a traffic stop after a complaint of an individual stealing fuel from a gas station in Biggar. The vehicle fled from police. Members later located the vehicle, but it fled from police a second time. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a report of a two-vehicle collision in Unity. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity. Reported for information purposes.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of the complaint who remained in the care of a family member.

There were also three false alarms and two traffic complaints.

Wilkie Report

RCMP received a complaint of a stolen weather station from a rural property near Landis. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of trespassing. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of the complaint.

There were also two traffic complaints and one false alarm.

Macklin Report

RCMP received a report of a missing person. The individual was located.

Members are investigating a complaint of stolen fuel from a business.

Police received a complaint of a stolen truck. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of the complaint who remained in the care of a family member.
