MACKLIN - Two teams remain undefeated in the eight-team Battle River Baseball League and one includes the Macklin Sr. Lakers.
“We go to 4-0 on the season after defeating the Castor Raiders 14-1,"coach/manager Derrick Lantz says.
"Tye Scherger got the win on the mound and once again the bats were hot all throughout the lineup.”
This sets up a much anticipated match for June 14 as the top two teams will face off, Macklin and Veteran. June 21, the team will head to Viking.
The Macklin U18 Lakers have one win in their season and looking to gain some ground in the coming weeks. They host the Viking team June 14, head to Castor June 21 and play at home against the Sr. Lakers in the last game of regular season, June 28.
There are three weeks left in the BRBL regular season, before playoffs begin.
