Kerrobert team and players seek a provincial title, starting July 8

July is provincial championship month for both softball and baseball divisions of ball programs.

KERROBERT — There is one team based out of Kerrobert and a number of players from Kerrobert playing with other teams in provincial championships for both the softball and baseball divisions.

It is what they have been working for their whole season and a provincial championship is their goal. 

On the softball side, the West Central Ice girls’ U17 softball team based out of Kerrobert includes players from Kerrobert, Kindersley, Plenty, Biggar, Dodsland and Brock. They are competing with nine other teams in the BW provincial event with the winner advancing to U17 Western Canadian Championships.

The team’s roster includes Addison Dufault, Kindersley; Summer Weese, Plenty; Brielle Neumeier, Kerrobert; Maggie Ewson, Kindersley; Kenzie Harrabek, Biggar; Raveh Bowman, Dodsland; Madison Halter, Dodsland; Emily Molberg, Biggar; Hayden Severesen, Kerrobert; Jaden Perkins, Kindersley; Gracee Wagner, Kindersley; Tristyn Endicott, Kerrobert; and Paige Preston, Brock.

West Central Ice coaches are: Colin Weese from Plenty, Rocky Perkins, Kindersley; Miranda Endicott, Kerrobert; Mark Seversen, Kerrobert; and manager, Tina Seversen, Kerrobert

July 8, the Ice will face the Battleford Bandits and Tisdale Riverdogs and July 9 they will play Weyburn Wild and Storm Lightening. They will need a top two placing in their pool to advance to July 10 provincial playoff pool.

Other Kerrobert players competing at provincial events include Hennessy Mackinnon and Brooklyn Kraft, who play with the U15 girls out of Macklin, playing in U15 B girls’ provincials in Saskatoon July 8 to 10. The team includes players from Macklin, Kerrobert and Dodsland.

Celeste Kissick plays with the U15 girls, Kindersley Royals, with their U15 B event in Saskatoon July 8 to 10.

Tommi Schell Wack and Zoe Eagles play with the U13 B division girls out of Kindersley, competing July 15 to 17 in Regina in a pool consisting of 36 teams broken out into eight pools.

For the baseball division, Kerrobert players Graydon Neumeier plays with the 13U boys out of Unity and will compete in upcoming provincial championships, all draws being listed on Baseball Sask. website. 

Brant Kohlman plays with the 11U boys out of Unity and will be part the team travelling to Shellbrook July 15 to 17 weekend.

Jett Shepherd, Ryder Shepherd, Cooper Feser and Walker Moro play on a combined Kerrobert Luseland 11U team hosted out of Luseland. They will compete in Rosetown July 15 to 17.
