Cut Knife, Kerrobert and Wilkie receive grants through CIF

The Community Initiatives Fund announced Cut Knife, Kerrobert and Wilkie as recent grant recipients.

CUT KNIFE -- When the Community Initiatives Fund announced 354 grants, three of the Unity-Wilkie Press-Herald communities were included. The full release, including all grant recipients can be found on

 “The Community Initiatives Fund enhances the quality of life for all Saskatchewan people,” Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Laura Ross said in a release.

“Our government works closely with the Community Initiatives Fund to ensure that Saskatchewan residents and communities are benefiting from investments in community-based programs and projects throughout our province – and we look forward to continuing this important working relationship.”

Under the Community Grant Program, with an April 1 deadline, Cut Knife Community School was awarded $10,000 for their Community School Nutrition Program.

Within the Summer Grant Program, with a Feb. 1 deadline, Kerrobert was awarded $4,000 within their Kerrobert Culture and Recreation, Education Program. Wilkie Wheatland Regional Library received $4,300 for the “Come Together” program.
