SASKATOON - A 39-year-old woman is facing charges following a report that a person armed with a knife was threatening people in Saskatoon.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., Dec. 2, police were called to a home in the 600 block of Confederation Drive. It was reported that a woman was threatening people at the address with a knife.
When they arrived, officers located the female suspect and took her into custody.
At the same time, a second call for service came in regarding an injured woman in the 100 block of Confederation Drive. Police responded, located a woman suffering from stab wounds and determined that it was related to the same incident. The injured woman was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The 39-year-old woman is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of methamphetamine.
