SASKATOON - Two people were arrested following a stabbing incident on Friday.
At approximately 9 a.m., Feb. 21, patrol officers responded to a home in the 10 block of Leif Erickson Place for a report of a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, a woman reported having been assaulted by a man known to her, who had fled before police arrived.
The woman was believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant.
While investigating the incident, police learned that the male suspect had attended to hospital suffering from a stab wound.
The stabbing reportedly took place during the initial altercation.
The female was transported to the hospital and later arrested.
After being treated at the hospital, the male was also arrested and transported to Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Detention. Officers seized a concealed knife from the man.
A 36-year-old woman is charged with aggravated assault and a 28-year-old man is charged with assault.
