SASKATOON - A man has been arrested relating to a weapons complaint Friday morning in Saskatoon.
On Nov. 9 at approximately 8 a.m., police were called to a hotel in the 1800 block of Idylwyld Drive for a weapons complaint. Initial information stated a male pointed a firearm during a verbal altercation.
Upon arrival, officers learned an unknown male had approached the victim’s motorcycle; however, the male fled after being confronted. Shortly after, the male returned with another male who pointed a firearm at the victim. It was believed the suspects had entered a room nearby.
Shortly after, officers were able to locate and arrest the suspect without further incident, and upon further search, an imitation firearm was located.
As a result, a 40-year-old man is facing charges relating to assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, use of an imitation firearm while committing an indictable offence, and failure to comply with court-ordered conditions. The man was also arrested on outstanding SPS warrants.
