SASKATOON - A man has been arrested following a weapons investigation Thursday in Saskatoon.
On Nov. 13, police received information that a man believed to be in possession of a weapon was inside a home located in the 600 block of Duchess Street. At around 8:45 p.m., officers executed a search warrant on the address and arrested several people from inside; during the search, officers located and seized a pump-action shotgun and ammunition.
In addition to the 12-gauge pump-action shotgun and assorted ammunition, officers also seized soft body armour, a cattle prod, and a .177 calibre pellet rifle.
As a result of continued investigation, a 29-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with six firearms-related offences. All other persons that had been detained as a result of the search warrant were released without charges.
