At approximately 12:30 a.m., Jan. 25, patrol officers located a reported stolen vehicle in a gas station parking lot at Broadway Avenue and Taylor Street East.
SASKATOON - Saskatoon police are investigating two evade-police incidents that occurred over the weekend in the city.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., Jan. 25, patrol officers located a reported stolen vehicle in a gas station parking lot at Broadway Avenue and Taylor Street East. Upon seeing police, the suspects fled in the white Pontiac Torrent and began driving erratically. A tire deflation device was deployed and officers located the vehicle abandoned in the 300 block of Avenue Q Â鶹´«Ã½AV, where it had struck a parked car. Three suspects fled the vehicle and remain outstanding. No suspect description is available.
At approximately 2:10 a.m., Jan. 26, officers on patrol spotted a stolen, black Audi A4 near Pearson Place and Diefenbaker Drive. The suspect vehicle had refused to stop for police the previous day. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted and three males were arrested from the vehicle. The driver provided a different person's identification prior to officers confirming his identity. No weapons were located but the driver was found to be breaching several of his court-imposed conditions.
As a result, an 18-year-old man from Cambridge, Ont., is facing a number of charges.
